This tour will reveal the finest sites of the old walled City. The walking portion includes visits to the Dominican Monastery with its fine collection of medieval paintings. Our guide will lead you through the narrow streets of the Old Town introducing you to the history and culture of this magnificent city. Other buildings will be viewed along the way.

3) ISLAND OF KORCULA EXCURSION – (Approx. Duration 8 h)

Marco Polo is the property and inheritance of the whole world! Korcula town is considered the birthplace of Marco Polo. Experience the narrow streets, churches and palaces in one of the best preserved Medieval towns in the Mediterranean.Our walking tour of the town will reveal some of the finest sites such as St Marc’s Cathedral. 5) MEĐUGORJE, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA – (Approx. Duration 8 h) * Please check your visa requirements!

It is believed that Our Lady appeared in front of a group of children in 1981. Nowadays it is the 3rd most visited place in a Catholic World. You will have the opportunity to visit the Apparition Hill and attend Mass in the local church.

6) DUBROVNIK SIGTHSEEING TOUR AND CAVTAT – (Approx. Duration 5 h)

Cavtat – resort situated south from Dubrovnik, the seat of the Konavle County, known by the natural beauty, cultural and folk tradition. This was once Greek settlement Epidaurum, since the year 228 BC an important trade and the Roman Harbour. Cavtat is the birthplace of numerous navigators, ship builders, ship owners and cultural workers. After an orientation tour, you will have some free time to enjoy the view of the harbor from one of the numerous café bars located in the waterfront.

8) VISIT THE ELAPHITE ISLANDS IN A REPLICA OF THE MEDIEVAL BOAT (FULL DAY)

The Elaphite Islands or the Elaphites, which are known as the latest spots of untouched nature at the Mediterranean, is a small archipelago consisting of several islands stretching northwest of Dubrovnik, in the Adriatic Sea. The island group includes eight islands and five isles, of which only three are inhabited: Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan.

Activities:

1) Old City Challenge (Duration approx. 3 hrs)

Our photo challenge in the heart of the old city will enable you to discover the history and charm of Dubrovnik’s old center and its surroundings. The combination of riddles, humor and surprise will result in an unforgettable morning or afternoon!

Throughout the old city trail you will attempt to solve questions with the aid of a map. Challenges set by guides will be confronted along the way. Amusing and varied, we have organized for you a superb itinerary through the old town of Dubrovnik - A great incentive experience! The goal of the race „Old City Challenge“ is to find as many given locations as possible, take a photo with the digital camera of these locations and arrive at the finishing point on time. The winner is the team that finds and takes photos of largest number of locations in the allotted time. Locations are shown in the form of pictures, or riddles which teams need to find. Once they find the location (with the help of a map or by asking passer- by, etc.) they will take a photo of it.

2) Adventure Park Cadmos Village Adventure (Duration approx. 5 hrs)

Cadmos Village is situated in picturesque Konavle region near the village of Komaji, hidden in unique oak woods. Set yourself for an unforgettable adventure and an experience which will excite all of your senses. Here you can find a beautiful tree terrace, 7 meters high, which provides stunning views of the Konavle valley. You can also find family owned restaurant with homemade specialties and excellent wines. Cadmos Village adventure park features three levels and 4 zip-lines, fields for archery and paintball, giant swing, bicycle service and a first treehouse in Croatia. 3) Kayaking (Duration approx. 4 hrs)

Your adventure at Adriatic Sea starts beneath ancient fort Lovrjenac in the small port called Pile, next to restaurant Orhan. Accompanied with English speaking instructor, you will set off to explore caves and beauties of mysterious Lokrum island, also called 'The Island of love'. After paddling around the island you will paddle across the bay until you reach one of the hidden cave beaches, where you will have a break for snorkeling. After short break on the beach you will paddle along the cost toward the City walls. Beaches, palm trees, boats, villas and hotels... form part of this tour. Paddling under the impressive city walls and rocks on which they were built on you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Pearl of the Adriatic from a different perspective.

3) LOVRIJENAC FORTRESS

This imposing fortress rises high above the city like a great protector looking out over all and everyone. Lovrjenac is built on a high rock face 37 meters high and offers a 360 degree panorama.No wonder St. Lawrence Fortress is often called Gibraltar of Dubrovnik. Main purpose for building it on this position was to defend the city. Over the years the fortress has had a strong tradition with the Dubrovnik Summer Festival and it is famous for its open stage for Shakespeare’s plays especially Hamlet. Macbeth, and others. The terraces which are on three levels can accommodate 800 persons for cocktails and some 500 participants for set dinner.

4) REVELIN FORTRESS

In the period of immediate Turkish danger and the fall of Bosnia under Turkish rule, the fortress Revelin was built to the east of the city in 1462, a detached fortress providing additional protection to the land approach to the eastern Ploce Gate. The name derives from the word “rivelino”, a term in military architecture which refers to and edifice built opposite to the city gate in order to afford better protection from enemy attack. It took eleven years to build it, and during that time all other construction work in the city has stopped in order to finish this fortress soonest possible. It is an irregular quadrilateral, protected by a deep ditch. Its interior is divided into three large vaulted rooms and it used to be the administration center of the Republic. The sessions of the Councils were held in the fortress, and the treasuries of the Republic and of the Cathedral were transferred there. The top of the Revelin is a huge stone terrace, the largest in Dubrovnik, used in summer as a stage for many events of the international Summer Festival.

5) SPONZA PALACE

The monumental Gothic-Renaissance Sponza Palace is one of the most beautiful in the city, which as preserved its original form. Its name is derived from the word for the spot where rainwater was collected (spongia – alluvium). In the time of the Republic, this palace housed the custom office and bonded warehouse, hence it was often referred to as Divona (from dogana – customs). The palace also housed the mint, the bank, the treasury and the armory. The Sponza Palace was the seat of the number of state offices, important in the life of the Republic, which was based on the commerce. Nowadays, the Sponza Palace is the home of the most important cultural institution of Dubrovnik – the Archive. The wealth of records of all kinds make these archives one of the most important historical archives of the world. The archive contain 7000 volumes of manuscripts and about 100.000 of individual manuscripts. The earliest charter in the archives is from 1022.

7) MARIN DRZIC THEATHRE

The only existing theatre in the city, named after the famous Dubrovnik born comedy writer of the Renaissance period, the Marin Držić Theater is housed in the building dating from 1865. Although the auditorium is rather small, it has staged many extraordinary performances and it has been active as a professional theater since 1944.Inside the theater, the painted ceiling is the work of famous painter Vlaho Bukovac (1855 – 1922) which he painted in 1901. The theme of the painting is dual coronation – coronation of Heaven and Earth. Nowadays, the theatre is ideal place for many personalized venues, such as gala dinners, welcome cocktails etc.

8) RECTOR’S PALACE

The seat of the Rector of the glorious Dubrovnik Republic, a splendid 15th century Gothico-Renaissance palace with beautiful front porch with carved capitals and an elegant atrium with baroque staircase. The palace owes its present shape to many additions and reconstructions throughout its turbulent history. From time to time it happened that the palace was destroyed or heavily damaged by either fires, gunpowder explosions or earthquakes which required a total or partial reconstruction or repair of the building. Each architect had its own view of how the building should look so nowadays we can enjoy the unique mixture of styles blended perfectly across this monumental structure.

9) MUSEUM OF MODERN ART

Built in the neo-Renaissance style by Croatian architects as a private residential palace of a Dubrovnik ship owner, the Museum of Modern Art abounds in spacious exhibition rooms with an elegant stairway leading to a large terrace overlooking the old city of Dubrovnik.
