Notes:

  • Wednesdays the Afternoon game drives are not operational in Madhya Pradesh Parks as per the rules of Park Government. Optional activities are offered to our guests at the lodge which they can take in consultation with Lodge Manager when they arrive at the lodge.
  • The wildlife tour is based on current national park costs /policies. The state government (Forest department) occasionally introduce new rules and fees with very little warning and at short notice.

Entry/VISA Requirements

  • As for all international travel, the visitor to India is required to be in possession of a valid passport and visa. Travellers from all countries need a visa. Enquire about this from the Indian diplomatic Representatives abroad.
  • Boarding or immigration can be denied if there is a mismatch of passport details mentioned on the visa letter issued by the Government of India and the passport presented at these checks.
  • The passport has to be valid for a minimum of 6 months AFTER the departure date from India and atleast 2 (two) clear pages available in the passport for immigration stamping.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: ARRIVE DELHI

  • On arrival in Delhi, guests will be met at the aero bridge and will be assisted through customs/immigration baggage collection. And you will be transferred to your hotel.
  • Delhi: The planning of New Delhi started in 1911 under the guidance of Sir Edwin Lutyens; this was following the declaration made by King George V at the Delhi Durbar, that the capital of India was being shifted from Calcutta to Delhi. This was an emphatic way to reinforce the permanence of the British Empire in India. The new city was inaugurated on 09th February 1931.
  • Delhi is steeped in history, which dates back to 3000 years. 'Indraprastha', the seat of the Pandavas in the early centuries of the era, was situated in Purana Quila and is believed to be Delhi's earliest city.
  • Hotel ethos is simple and easy luxury It is also an ethos of contrasts. From the dynamic and vibrant atmosphere in the restaurants, courtyards and public areas to the seclusion, peace and club- like atmosphere of the seven floors of guest accommodation. The Lodhi epitomizes contemporary India- culturally, artistically.
  • Spend One night at The Lodhi, Delhi. Accommodation is in a 02 Bed Room Suite with pool ensuite facilities. Your stay is on Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 2: DELHI - AGRA

  • This morning you will be transferred to the Delhi Railway Station for your train to Agra for a day trip. (Dep 0810 Hrs :: Arr 0940 Hrs / Gatiman Express / Air Conditioned Executive Class).
  • Agra: The city of Agra flourished under the patronage of the Mughal emperors Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jahan and attracted artisans from Persia and across central Asia.
  • Agra is where Emperor Shah Jahan celebrated his immortal love for his Empress in marble, the Taj Mahal. Agra is still famous for handicrafts products such as inlay work on marble, carpets, jewellery, zari and embroidery work.
  • On arrival guests will be met and transfer to Hotel.
  • Later go to Agra Fort in decorated horse carriage, and guided visit of the fort.
  • Agra Fort: The red sandstone Agra Fort was renovated and converted into a palace during Shah Jahan's time, and reworked extensively with marble and pietra dura inlay.
  • Notable buildings in the fort include the Pearl Mosque, the Diwan-e-Am and Diwan-e-Khas (halls of public and private audience), Jehangir's Palace, Khaas Mahal, Sheesh Mahal (mirrored palace), and Musamman Burj.
  • Evening visit Taj Mahal at sunset. Said to be one of the most elegant and a harmonious building in the world, Taj Mahal is the manifestation of the wealth and luxury of Mughal art as seen in its architecture, garden design, painting, and calligraphy.
  • Spend One Night at The Trident. Accommodation is in a Deluxe Garden View Room. Your stay is on Bed & Breakfast Basis.

Day 3: AGRA – DELHI

  • Sunrise visit of Taj Mahal. Later Return to Hotel for breakfast. Post breakfast drive back to Delhi (184 Kms / 3 ½ Hours). On arrival check-in at your Hotel.

Afternoon start the Guided sightseeing of Old Delhi which includes:

  • Chandni Chowk: Take a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk which was once the grandest of markets in India. Even though today Chandni Chowk appears choked with congestion, it retains its historical character.
  • Spice Market: Khari Baoli is a street in Old Delhi known for its wholesale grocery and Asia's largest wholesale spice market selling all kinds of spices, nuts, herbs and food products like rice and tea. The market is operating since the 17th century.
  • End the tour of Old Delhi with the visit to the Jama Masjid. Jama Masjid: The Jama Masjid of Delhi is the principal mosque of Old Delhi in India. Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, builder of the Taj Mahal, and completed in the year 1656 AD, it is the largest and best-known mosque in India. It lies at the origin of a very busy central street of Old Delhi, Chandni Chowk.
  • Later guests will be taken on a tour to the street famous for its food, from many generations. Guests will visit traditional food stalls that developed in the folds of the culture of old Delhi. At each stop guests will see the house specialties. Some of the foods that guests may sample are: Parathana’s, (Indian Flatbread) Samosa (triangular deep fried dumplings stuffed with potatoes), Kachori (deep fried dumplings stuffed with an assortment of lentils and spice), Kulfi (Indian ice-cream), Lassi (a yogurt drink), jalebi, (Indian Sweet) etc.
  • Evening will arrange a “visit to Kingdom of Dreams” not to miss entertainment place for a family.
  • The 'Indian Culture' themed destination - "Kingdom Of Dreams" is Opulent, Extravagant & Gorgeous!! The vision is to create a theme-based entertainment experience of exceptional standard to promote Indian culture and performing arts.
  • Right in the heart of the Millennium City, Gurgaon is this impressive installation, replete with golden glitter and elephants. This larger than life theme park is promoted by Wiz-kraft Entertainment. The palatial auditorium called 'Nautanki Mahal' is India's answer to the Broadway musicals, and those who have seen the first few performances are raving about the grandeur, opulence and Bollywood-themed show.
  • Kingdom of Dreams also includes the 'Culture Gully' - an air conditioned boulevard presenting a kaleidoscope of Indian culture and cuisine, with theme restaurants, street bars and live street performances. In an area of 1,00,000 square feet, Culture Gully has 14 state pavilions from Punjab to Kerala where you can sample a full Bengali meal, Prawn Chops from Assam, Crab Meat and Rice from Goa, Appam and Mutton Stew from Kerala, and so on. The decor is mind boggling, with an artificial sky. So at any point during the day when you enter this place it has a 'day-light' like feel, with clouds in the sky.
  • We will arrange show tickets at Kingdom of Dreams.

Day 4: DELHI - JABALPUR - BANDHAVGARH

  • Today, you will be met and chauffeured to Delhi airport (with packed breakfast) to connect flight for Jabalpur (SG2451 / 1015::1200 / SpiceJet / Economy).
  • On arrival in Jabalpur, you will be met by your driver and chauffeured for about 4 hrs to Bandhavgarh National Park. An essential stop on any serious tiger safari, Bandhavgarh National Park is renowned for one of India’s highest concentrations of this magnificent animal. A relatively small park with a thriving tiger population, it offers guests a good chance of encountering the king of the jungle, as well as a selection of other exotic wildlife. Cradled between the picturesque Vindhya and Satpura mountain ranges, Bandhavgarh boasts a breathtaking mixture of dense green valleys and rocky hills. Tropical forests and woodlands are interspersed with flat grasslands and serene waterholes.
  • On arrival, check into your lodge “Mahua Kothi”. Guests in search of an authentic jungle experience won't be disappointed at Mahua Kothi Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge, where just 12 kutiyas scattered around an original homestead disappear into the bamboo fronds. Given over to natural forest, the vast grounds create a park-like atmosphere that guests are free to explore on bicycles invitingly parked in the private courtyards of their jungle suites.
  • Spend Night at Mahua Kothi Jungle Lodge. Accommodation is in Air Conditioned Luxury Cottage with ensuite facilities. Your stay is on full board basis (cycle of 3 meals a day i.e. breakfast; lunch & dinner) including scheduled game drives by shared jeeps.

Day 5: BANDHAVGARH

  • Explore the dense jungles of Bandhavgarh National Park on early morning and afternoon game drives in an open 4x4 safari vehicle. One of our specially trained naturalists will accompany you throughout, pointing out and explaining details about the fascinating animals and plants of the jungle. Your early morning drive enters the park as the dawn is breaking over the jungle. On an afternoon drive, watch out for the elusive leopard and listen to the calls of jackal getting ready for the hunt.

Day 6: BANDHAVGARH - KANHA

  • Morning game drive. Afternoon drive to Kanha ( 06 Hours).
  • Kanha: Prime tiger wilderness, Kanha National Park was one of the first areas to be protected under Project Tiger, aimed at preserving this magnificent animal, and remains a renowned conservation area. This picturesque reserve boasts the ideal habitat for both tigers and their prey species. Lush sal and bamboo forests are interspersed with vast grassy meadows known as maidans, while the Banjaar River, which forms the park’s southwestern border, provides a steady water source for the abundant wildlife.
  • Upon arrival at Kanha, you will be check in at Taj Safari Camp Banjaar Tola.
  • Overlooking the lush forests and grassy meadows of Kanha National Park, at Banjaar Tola Kanha Tented Camp you are one with the environment. Admire stunning river views from the privacy of your own veranda or share the experiences of the day on dramatic decks facing the Banjaar River.
  • Spend Night at Banjaar Tola Jungle Camp. Accommodation is in Air Conditioned Luxury tent with ensuite facilities. Your stay is on full board basis including scheduled game drives by a shared jeep.

Day 7: KANHA

  • Enjoy schedule morning and afternoon game drives.
  • Explore the sal and bamboo forests of Kanha National Park on early morning and afternoon game drives in an open 4x4 safari vehicle. One of our specially trained naturalists will accompany you throughout, pointing out and explaining details about the fascinating animals and plants of the jungle. Your early morning drive enters the park as the dawn is breaking over the jungle. Explore the meadows, or maidans, where scores of grazing herbivores attract tiger, leopard and wild dog to the edges of the clearings. On an afternoon drive, the wildlife is settling down for the night or having a final drink at the Banjaar River or the many perennial streams that run through the park. Watch out for the elusive leopard and listen to the calling of jackal getting ready for the hunt.

Day 8: KANHA – RAIPUR – DELHI

  • Morning proceed on a short game drive. Later transfer to Airport for flight to Delhi (6E454 / 1855::2045 Economy Class).
  • On arrival transfer to Hotel.
  • Spend One night at The Lodhi, Delhi. Accommodation is in a Lodhi Deluxe Room with ensuite facilities. Your stay is on bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 9: DEPART DELHI

  • Morning departure transfer from Hotel to International Airport for flight back home.

  • Your internal flights have been organized by us. While we take the maximum care to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for you.
  • In order to comply with International Insurance requirements Dook Travels can only reserve seats, be it on a provisional or confirmed basis, on both domestic/scheduled or charter flights.
  • Please note that airfares may increase between time of booking, time of payment and the ticket being issued. Any costs incurred due to amendments will not be borne by Dook Travels.
  • Dook Travels cannot be held responsible should airlines discontinue flights on certain routings or change scheduled timetables, resulting in missed connections etc. Should an amendment in a routing or itinerary be necessary we will re-quote you accordingly.

  • Gratuities: Tipping is at your discretion. However management of the establishment will be able to assist with guidelines.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • 25% Non-refundable advance payment to be remitted within 15 days on receiving confirmation for the hotels booked.
  • 75% of the balance payment to be remitted 60 days prior to arrival into India except for the periods of Pushkar/Christmas & New Year & February where 75% advance is required 100 days prior to arrival into India.

Booking made within 45 days of arrival: 100% payment at the time of booking (within 72 hours) (non refundable)

Booking made more than 45 days prior to arrival: 25% payment at the time of booking (within 7 days ) and balance 75%, 60 to 100 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation 60 days or more prior to arrival: No cancellation/ retention charge, except for cancellation fee on air tickets/ train tickets or deposits made for Game drives in National Parks.

Cancellation within 45 days of arrival: Retention of full deposit levied as cancellation charge

  • Dook Travels reserves the right to cancel all services booked should full payment not be received 60 days prior to arrival date.
  • Should it be a last minute booking, Dook Travels will allow for 3 days from time of confirmation until payment (100%) reaches us before Dook Travels will cancel any services booked. The amount is NON – REFUNDABLE.
