Belgium Visa General Information

Expected to be introduced in 2022, the ETIAS for Belgium is an electronic travel authorization that will not only allow eligible citizens to travel to Belgium for short stays but all of the 26 Schengen Area countries as well.
The European Visa Waiver for Belgium is not a visa. It is a multiple entry travel authorization, allowing a total stay of 90 days within every 180-day period. An approved ETIAS Belgium will also be valid for 3 years, meaning there is no need to apply for every entry to the Schengen zone.
The European Commission is introducing the ETIAS application for Belgium in order to pre-screen travelers to the Schengen Area, improve security, and strengthen European borders.
Citizens from eligible countries will be able to apply through the online ETIAS application form for Belgium which involves filling in simple personal, passport, and travel information. It will also be necessary to answer a few security and health-related questions in order to submit the ETIAS Belgium application form to receive an approved ETIAS Visa Waiver for Belgium.
